Poha Chivda | Roasted Rich Chiwda Namkeen | Add a bit of warmth to the winter evenings

Ingredients:


  • 1 tbsp Oil + 2 tbsp Oil

  • 250g Flattened Rice (Poha)

  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp Cumin

  • 3 - 4 Green Chillies

  • 5 - 6 Garlic (or Hing 1/2 tsp)

  • Few Curry Leaves

  • 2 tbsp Raisins

  • 10 - 15 Roasted Cashews

  • 1/4 cup Roast Peanuts

  • 1/4 cup Fried Gram

  • 1/4 cup Dry Coconut

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

  • Chilli powder to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp Sugar


Method:


  1. Heat the pan add 1 tbsp oil, then add flattened rice and dry roast over low heat until crispy.

  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil and add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.

  3. Add cumin and let it splutter.

  4. Sauté green chillies, garlic, and curry leaves until crispy.

  5. Then add roasted peanuts, fried gram, dry coconut,

  6. turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well

  7. Now add Poha mix well.
